Re: Life Is Not a Fairy Tale: The Fantasia Barrino Story

Dear Debbie Allen,

I don't care what anyone else says. You ruined the latter seasons of A Different World for me with your endless moralizing and sick desire to hook up all the characters that didn't leave before season five.

I still have nightmares about your Fame reality TV series. I still remember that "America" segment I wrote about on the Jump the Shark page I linked to.

I'm glad I haven't seen one of your obnoxious Oscar dance routines.

You are set to ruin Fantasia Barrino's life story...you're even getting the former Dwayne Wayne to play her father.

One quick question: Are you getting the Dwayne Wayne of the first three seasons with the lame jokes and the flip-up glasses or are you getting the Dwayne Wayne of the last three seasons that sought out Whitley and began to take pride in thinking she was his property? When I think of the latter Dwayne, I think of that bad sixth season "Mandingo" joke...and my assumption that Dwayne wasn't as hung as he thought he was.

I'm guessing you're going to have some really bad, dated and ignorant jokes written by Glenn Berenbeim, who will single-handedly make Fantasia's life a joke. I guess he creamed his pants when he found out the movie was coming to Lifetime.

Oh, and I'm not worried about Fantasia being able to act...I bet Fantasia can act better than you can direct.

What?!?! Debbie Allen gave that show life! Granted, I don't see the reason behind a Fantasia Story (she ain't the first teenager to have a baby), but I think Mrs. Allen has a knack for directing. Back to my original point, Dbbie Alllen made A Different World the show to watch!

Eh, I prefer seasons 1-4 before the hookups and the two-part episodes.
